The weather, currently.
An active day is on the way! A major storm system will drag in lots of moisture and warm values across southern Ontario. It will feel like spring in SW Ontario with temperatures in double digits, however far from being enjoyable.
Let's start in the early morning: Very likely some freezing rain before it changes to rain by mid-morning rush hour. Your wake-up temperature near 0°C feeling like -4°C. Rain will continue, heavy at times with 15-25mm expected. A special weather statement has been issued across all of Southern Ontario, there may be updates and warnings issued for some areas. The forecast high, 7°C. In addition to the rain, this Texas low will generate very strong winds tomorrow. SW gusts 30-80+km/h!
Thursday night: periods of rain tapering to scattered showers then ending with a mild low of 2°C.
Side Note: The heavy rain could cause ice jams in some local rivers, and possibly localized flooding. The strong winds will also be problematic, knocking tree branches down and causing power outages.
