The weather, currently.

A nice warm up on the way!

The last week of winter will be a mild one! Although Monday will start out on the cold side it will be a very pleasant day. Expect sunny breaks and a wakeup windchill near -7°C. Clouds will continue to increase especially after lunchtime with the approach of a warm front— but it also means mild air. We should climb up to 7°C tomorrow— great conditions for kids to enjoy some outdoor March break fun! There will be a light wind from the south of 10-20km/h. Monday night: mainly cloudy with scattered showers and a low of 1. —Anwar Knight

What you need to know, currently.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has led to a surge in gas prices around the world. The oil and gas industry is jumping on the opportunity to lie about the driving cause of the hike and advocate for more drilling and even fewer environmental regulations.

This is a false narrative— the instability and greed of the fossil fuel industry are at the root of the skyrocketing prices, and more oil won't change that.

Mary Heglar, lays out a plea here in Hot Take, asking the Biden administration to stop playing into the fossil fuel industries narrative.
